DOJ Wants You - If You Like Antitrust Appellate Law

TheĀ Appellate Section of the Department of Justice’s Antitrust Division:

is seeking highly qualified attorneys to fill two openings in an active office that deals routinely with complex issues on the cutting edge of antitrust law. The Appellate Section represents the Antitrust Division in the federal courts of appeals in all Division criminal and civil enforcement proceedings. In conjunction with the Office of the Solicitor General, the Appellate Section represents the Antitrust Division in cases before the United States Supreme Court, including government cases and private cases in which the United States participates as amicus curiae. The Appellate Section also seeks to identify appropriate opportunities to advocate procompetitive interpretations of the law through amicus briefs filed in selected private cases in the lower courts. Additionally, the Appellate Section supports the Antitrust Division’s enforcement program by undertaking projects involving legal writing, analysis, and research. Finally, the Appellate Section represents the United States or federal agencies in certain administrative review proceedings in the appellate courts.
