Although I have not done this so far, one of things I wanted to do with this blog was to note and highlight news about antitrust practioners. But better late than never. Congratulations to MoFo (OK, OK, you got me; I just love saying MoFo) which announced that Roger Fones, former Chief of the Transportation, Energy & Agriculture Section of the Antitrust Division of the U.S. Department of Justice, has joined the firm’s Washington, D.C. office.

[...] As part of my continuing series (see here) noting and highlighting news about antitrust practitioners (attorneys, professors, government officials, economists, consultants, etc.) Michelle Burtis recently moved to Cornerstone Research (a consulting firm that provides economic and financial analyses and expert testimony) where she is a Vice President in the Antitrust Practice. The press release is here. According to the press release: Before joining Cornerstone Research, [Ms. Burtis] was a director and the managing director for competition policy at LECG. Prior to LECG, she served as vice president at Capital Economics from 1988-1998. She has a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Texas and received B.A.s in economics and political science from the University of Colorado. [...]
