Cincinnati v. NFL

I was born and raised in Cincinnati; even though I now work and live in Washington DC I remain a die hard Cincinnati Bengals fan (and if you think I will be rooting for the Steelers tonight you have to be kidding).  Hamilton County (which includes the city of Cincinnati) has sued the Bengals and the NFL for alleged antitrust violations relating to the new - and tax-payor financed - Bengals stadium (Paul Brown Stadium).

The parties recently held settlement talks but no settlement was reached.  According to this Cincinnati Enquirer article, on Monday the county served additional document requests on the NFL.  Wasting no time, on Tuesday, this article reports that the NFL objected to those documents and  “called the county demand ‘frivolous’ and described the antitrust claim as a ‘costly and festering lawsuit.’”
