Online Music Pricing

Cnet is reporting that the New York Attorney Generals office has issued “a new round of subpoenas” regarding its “investigation of online music pricing.” I mentioned the initial round here. Before everyone gets too worked up, it should be noted that these subpoenas appear to be a more focused than the original set which, as Cnet reports, the record companies had objected to. For those readers not familiar with litigation, this type of back-and-forth (request, followed by objections, followed by a narrower request) is common.
