More On The Air Cargo Investigation

Back in February, the EU and DOJ conducted joint raids as part of an investigation into possible fixing of air cargo prices.  The investigation appears to be continuing as Air Canada has announced that they are providing information to DOJ.  According to Reuters:

Air Canada said that when the joint U.S. Department of Justice-European Commission probe first started in February, “neither authority visited Air Canada or any of its cargo operations.” Recently, however, the U.S. justice department has sought information from the carrier, it said, adding that “Air Canada is cooperating fully with this investigation”. Air Canada said the investigation concerns “alleged anti-competitive activities” relating to surcharges levied by a number of airlines and other cargo operators.     The statement late on Monday did not make it clear whether Air Canada has been told it is under investigation. A company spokesman declined further comment.
