Real Estate Antitrust Suit To Proceed
On Monday, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois denied the National Association of Realtors’ motion to dismiss the Department of Justice’s antitrust lawsuit. According to DOJ:
The court rejected NAR’s argument that last-minute changes to its policies prevented judicial scrutiny. In denying NAR’s motion to dismiss the case, the court stated in its opinion that “NAR has failed, with all respect, to demonstrate that this case should be dismissed at the outset.”
The decision is available on the Department’s website. [I checked the NAR website but did not find anything about this decision.]
